Well coming soon to Amelia Island Plantation are three exciting projects all open to the public! Play a round of miniature golf at the new Heron’s Cove Adventure Golf! Enjoy a tasty pizza at the surf inspired pizza joint and beach shop at the new Natural Slice! Dine on fresh traditional seafood and southern inspired comfort food at the renovated Verandah restaurant! Full details to come soon on each one, but here’s a sneak peak… Heron’s Cove Adventure Golf miniature golf on Amelia Island. Enjoy a family-friendly adventure on our 18-hole nautical themed miniature golf course. Named for Amelia’s signature bird, the great blue heron, that can be found throughout the inlet coves of the Intracoastal Waterway, freshwater lakes and saltwater marsh on Amelia Island. This miniature golf course combines tidbits of local and nautical facts with good old fashion fun. Mini golf is $10 per adult, $8 per children and children 3 and under are free with a paying player. Special Family Packages will also be available! Guests and locals alike will enjoy a new family activity to do together on the south end of the island. And for those who are miniature golf connoisseurs, this ads a third location to play putt-putt on Amelia Island! Opening mid February Located by Falcon’s Nest and the Nature Center, the location of the old reception center. Natural Slice Amelia Island surf pizza jointNew to the south end of Amelia Island, Natural Slice will be a pizza joint mixed with a beach surf shop! Get pizza by the slice or a full pie, all made with our signature saltwater crust harvested with salt straight from the local water of the Atlantic Ocean! Natural Slice will be an affordable pizza place perfect for the family, especially after a competitive round of mini golf at Heron’s Cove! Also serving salads and signature surf inspired pies! Once you’re stuffed full of pizza, grab some surf gear or beach wear including men’s and ladies Quicksilver, Natural Life, vintage surf tees, skate boards, skim boards, and locally homemade surfboards by P. Surfboards. Opening mid February Located in The Shops of Amelia Island Plantation Verandah Amelia Island seafood restaurantA new look at a local favorite! The Verandah restaurant is undergoing a special renovation to update the interior design of the local favorite restaurant on the south end of Amelia Island. The menu is also undergoing an exciting transformation and will specialize in traditional seafood from local waters and sustainable fisheries combined with fresh produce from neighboring farms to create dishes with the comfort of southern traditions. Overlooking the tranquil Racquet Park tennis facility, diners at this family-friendly restaurant can view the natural canopy of live oak trees from their table at the Verandah.
