Jacksonville Housing Report

Jacksonville, FL – Buyers Becoming More Confident, Looking to Take Advantage of Affordability Source: Credit Suisse; Census Bureau (4,582 single-family permits in 2012, 23rd largest market in the country) Our Take: • Our buyer traffic index jumped to 75 in January from 56 in December, indicating better traffic sequentially and overall levels above agents’ expectations. Agents cited affordability and a desire to buy while the rates and prices are still low. • Home prices increased again in January, as our home price index was unchanged at 75, well above a neutral level of 50.
