Jacksonville, FL – Buyers Becoming More Confident, Looking to Take Advantage of Affordability

Our Take:
•
Our buyer traffic index jumped to 75 in January from 56 in December, indicating better traffic sequentially and overall levels above agents’ expectations. Agents cited affordability and a desire to buy while the rates and prices are still low.

Home prices increased again in January, as our home price index was unchanged at 75, well above a neutral level of 50. Prices have now increased for five straight months.
•
Declining inventory levels (our index improved to 75 from 63) and a shorter time to sell (our index was unchange
